The Lahti Science Day 2013 will be held at the learning centre Fellmannia on Tuesday, 12th November. The seminar will explore the wide spectrum of research carried out in Päijät-Häme. The main target grour for the Lahti Science Day is the general public. Call-for-Papers will announced later this spring.

The main themes of the Lahti Science Day will be :
• Practice-oriented innovation, entrepreneurship and business
• Well-being, culture and physical exercise
• Environmental research and technology
• Design and communication
• Development of education and training

Besides conventional scientific research, the programme committee welcomes presentations using alternative research methods, for example arts-based or innovative methods. Call-for-Papers will announced later this spring.

The seminar is organised by the Lahti University Consortium, the Lahti University of Applied Sciences and the Vierumäki Unit of the Haaga-Helia University of Applies Sciences.
This year, there will be close co-operation also with upper secondary education actors of  the city of Lahti.
