Clean energy, water and air are life-giving resources for which LUT University seeks new solutions with expertise in technology, business and social sciences. All of LUT’s schools – the LUT School of Energy Systems, the LUT School of Engineering Science and LUT Business School – are active in Lahti. Activity on the Lahti campus is strongly cross-disciplinary. In Lahti, the research fields are sustainability science, biorefinement, computational engineering, knowledge management and industrial engineering and management.
The Lahti campus houses a modern fibre technology research laboratory as a result of cooperation between LUT and ANDRITZ Ltd. LUT has also established Finland’s first electric transportation professorship in Lahti. Find out about our professorships in Lahti.
